RAAF Combat Controller Teams. Early 1990’s era essentials. Aladdin insulated brew mug with MRE spoon (cut down so that it could be kept in the mug), book to read whilst sitting around waiting for nothing to happen and an old Holding Area pass. Rhodesia. Pre 1980 period ‘Victoria Sky-Divers Rhodesia’ club patch. UK. Special Air Service (SAS) My photo review of the Musée des Parachutistes, the French paratrooper museum in Pau, France. Over 100 photos showcasing France's superb airborne forces museum. 1970’s era Rhodesia Skydivers Club patch. A couple of older Pioneer Parachute Company pieces from my collection. The small nickel pin is often mistaken as a Caterpillar Club Award. This is INCORRECT, both the pin and patch are promotional pieces for the Para-Commander parachute. The second picture shows the pin in more detail. 1960’s/70’s period US Army Special Forces SSI, Airborne tab and parachute wings. Not particularly rare, but as they came with some pieces from a Rhodesian, I’m intrigued by their background. Hopefully the former owner will be providing more details about how they came into his possession soon
